My story
Born from a bad knee and a bag of cherry pits.
DoozyPits started when I made these natural gifts for some family and friends. My Dad's friend borrowed one after his knee surgery. He loved it so much after using it, he asked if he could sell them in his health/fitness facility. After selling over 200 DoozyPits I started my Etsy shop. And this was the natural next step. This organic heating/cooling pack turned out to be a crowd pleaser. A safe alternative to electric heating pads or ice packs. The patterns you choose will brighten your day. The sound of the cherry pits calm your thoughts. The feel of these little pits soothe your energy. The lack of scent lets you add your own. I make each one by hand, adding the magic ingredients of love and good intentions. Yes, these are the little things inside cherries. Basically, they are nature's perfect heat pack. Who knew?
How it happens
I'm always on the hunt for cute and trending fabric patterns. It's become my new obsession. Finding images that make our DoozyPits personal to you.
I made one as a gift. Then made more as gifts. Then kept receiving calls for more. You see, they are the greatest thing you never knew you needed! Perfect for the people that are impossible to buy for - you know, the ones that have everything.
DoozyPits launched in 2016 out of a small space in my home. Every pack is still made by hand, filled with USA sourced cherry pits, and sewn from fun cotton fabrics. We haven't changed the recipe because we haven't needed to.
Meet the founder
Hi, I'm Cherie.
I spent years managing chronic sinus pain with heating pads that were either too hot, too cold, or just stopped working. When I discovered cherry pit packs — a remedy that's been used in Europe for centuries — I couldn't believe how well they worked.
I started making them for myself, then for friends, then for strangers on the internet. DoozyPits is still a small operation. I like it that way. Every pack that leaves our studio has been touched by human hands, and I think you can feel that.
